With end of semester near approaching (ignoring the exams before the end), I am frantically finding new things to take up my time (read: procrastinate). This has been a regular trend every semester. I am fully concentrated on my work and time management up until when it's actually important. At this point I generally become very interested in the media and it becomes crucial for me to know EVERYTHING that's happening in the world and locally.

In my recent journeys through various media outlets, I have discovered the opening of Japan's Uniqlo in Australia, but more importantly their Australian website. This is important for two reasons:
1. despite all my attempts to avoid study, I still don't have enough time to rummage through op shops for my granny-esque clothes, and
2. Winter has begun early and I need to clothes to keep me warm.

I have developed a re-found love of corduroy, something I have written off as 'too daggy' since the very first year that my mother was told she had to stop dressing me. It turns out I was wrong, and cords are everything you need in life: thick, warm and wind resistant, and at Uniqlo, they come in beautiful warm colours that make any cold day better. My new obsession has been well timed with my transfer into a double degree with mathematics. From my experience as a new maths major, the unofficial dress code of mathematicians is clearly cords, daggy shoes and t-shirts.

I tick all those boxes.
