I have been studying furiously in the lead up to these exams. I am at a point of where I am simply fed up with the whole uni-thing- even though I will still be getting up at 6:30 am to go to uni and study all day again. I started going crazy, after the billionth hour at my desk, in front of the same wall of notes, with the same ink smudges on the once white table-top, and the same street-view with the same people coming and going at the same times each day. A change of scenery is absolutely necessary, evidently... It's odd that a place that I have specifically designed to be as pleasant as it can be for hours of work, can start to feel overwhelming. I find at work, I can be really stuck on something, completely stopped at a wall, but if I temporarily move out to a park or a cafe, I can crack through the problem.
I have also started getting excited and planning for my one month of uni holidays. I'm excited to only be working full time so I will actually have evenings, mornings and weekends to do..... STUFF! Between all the catching up with friends and books I will be doing, I also plan to change my study environment. At the moment it's full of all things pretty and vintage. I think I need something to freshen it up a little, bring it to life and make it a more natural and relaxed space. To do this, I am employing the power of mother nature and stocking up on plants. Not just flowers (as I already do this constantly), but potted living plants that will continue to live (hopefully).
Warning: I may become a part time botanist as I research what plants are the most fitted for my needs.
