With two children turning one within two weeks of each other, a celebration filled with fingering sugary cakes and creams was called for. With a pavlova topped with colourful berries, we sat the kids down and let them slowly realise that it was for eating. They had a curious look as they inspected and investigated the cake somewhat confused by the people just staring at them waiting for them to do something. It was a fun experiment, and we learnt not to have colourful things around if you want them to play with the main part-the cake. It doesn't hurt that they basically only ate fresh fruit.
Along with being a lucky aunt of these gorgeous children, I was able to practice taking photos of people!
